This townhouse in The Hague is a 175 m² apartment arranged over three levels, fully renovated like a piece of spatial tailoring. The project focused on intelligently transforming an already high‑quality existing structure, revealing its potential rather than radically altering it.
The through‑living space on the first floor – living room, dining room and kitchen – benefits from large glazed openings onto the garden, which bathe the apartment in natural light throughout the day. The floors have been unified with real wooden parquet, bringing warmth and continuity between the different areas.
On the upper levels, the renovation has carefully adjusted each volume to everyday uses: on the second floor, the bedrooms feature built‑in storage and soft tones, while the top floor combines converted attic space and a play area, conceived as a bright retreat under the eaves.
The bathroom has been completely redesigned in a more contemporary language: a glazed shower with black framing, a freestanding bathtub, wooden cabinetry and a warm palette create a comfortable atmosphere, halfway between a spa and a family bathroom. Bespoke joinery, an open bookcase and partially open partitions structure the circulation without blocking views, enhancing the sense of an apartment that is at once generous, fluid and filled with light.
