In this 35 sqm Paris apartment, the aim was to transform a former one bedroom flat into a large, bright studio, perfectly optimised without losing the charm of the existing space. The apartment retains its original wooden floor, fully sanded, waxed and restored, which becomes the warm unifying feature of the whole.

The layout has been redesigned around a raised sleeping area: a platform accommodates the bed and incorporates ample storage hidden under the deck and in the steps. This built‑in volume structures the space without partitioning it off, while providing real storage solutions for a small home.

The kitchen has been completely recreated with a compact run of units in green‑grey fronts, a wooden worktop and a black splashback, forming a graphic block that dialogues with the parquet and white woodwork. The new bathrooms play on the contrast between aqua‑green tiles, black tapware and the soft light of backlit mirrors, creating a space that is both functional and comfortable for everyday use.

The entire project focuses on fluidity: simple circulation, integrated volumes, and bespoke furniture that frees up the walls and allows the studio to breathe. This small apartment illustrates how an interior renovation can multiply uses and quality of life, even within a compact surface area.
